Retaining and Developing Experienced Female Talent
Helping organisations protect performance, retain experienced talent and support midlife women navigating menopause, before capability and confidence become a business risk.
Whilst menopause is often the trigger, the conversations organisations are having with me are increasingly about confidence, performance, retention and sustainable leadership.
For small and medium-sized businesses, this often goes unnoticed, until experienced, capable women start to struggle, disengage or leave.
I help organisations address this in a way that protects performance, supports employees and strengthens retention.
I don’t start with workshops.
I start with a diagnostic.
Every organisation is different.
I work with leaders and employees to understand:
- where the risks sit
- what support already exists
- where there are opportunities to strengthen retention and performance
Only then do I recommend the right support.
Based in Liverpool, supporting organisations across the North West and UK.
Replacing an experienced employee can cost £50,000+ when you factor in recruitment, onboarding and lost productivity.
For SMEs, losing even one key person has a significant impact. And losing her to menopause is unnecessary.
The Business Problem
Midlife women are often some of your most experienced, reliable and high-performing employees.
But during menopause, many experience:
- reduced confidence
- inconsistent energy
- brain fog and lack of clarity
- increased stress and overwhelm
And without the right support, businesses risk:
- loss of experienced talent
- reduced productivity
- increased absence
- disengagement at senior levels
Why Me
I’m not coming at this from theory.
I’ve lived it while operating at a senior level in corporate environments.
I’ve spent over 30 years working across SMEs, blue-chip organisations and high-growth businesses including Telefonica O2, Virgin Media and The Co-operative Bank.
I’ve led strategy, delivered under pressure, and navigated the realities of performance-driven environments.
And I’ve also been the woman sitting in those meetings; second-guessing herself, pushing through brain fog, and wondering what was happening.
That combination matters.
Because I understand both sides:
- The commercial pressure to perform
- And the personal impact when menopause starts to affect capability
How I solve it
Most organisations respond to menopause by:
- Running a one-off workshop
- Introducing a policy
- Raising awareness
But awareness alone doesn’t change performance.
I take a different approach.
I work with you to understand:
- Your people
- Your culture
- Your business pressures
Then I design support that actually works in your environment.
Not generic sessions. Not tick-box training.
This is tailored, practical support that helps women:
- Maintain performance
- Regain confidence
- Stay consistent in high-pressure roles
The same way I built products and strategies in my corporate career—designed to fit the organisation, not forced into it.
